Pro Co Sound has been building professional muting devices for more than 10 years. It all started when a customer asked us to build a foot switch so he could momentarily mute the signal to the audience if he had to cough, or clear this throat while performing. The performer simply held down the switch with his foot while he coughed or cleared his throat and released the switch by removing his foot.
Our second device was born when a customer had a singing drummer who couldn’t hold down the switch with his foot because his feet were doing other things. We designed a latching unit for him and a family of muting devices was born. Today Pro Co Sound makes the Panic Button, Power Mute, Sign Off, Short Stop and three different versions of the Sports Announcer's Switch. Each device is designed to help users solve a live performance problem.
